*There is more than one enforced rule, please continue reading.
Greetings, everyone! As I have stated before, I hope to see our council ran like a true tribe, egalitarian and anarchistic. I see my role as facilitative, not authoritative. Nonetheless, there are a few rules that I insist upon:
Kwam's Three Rules
- Real Life First! I myself take care of my disabled mother, and there are times that I have to jump up from the computer without the time to type /afk. We should be tolerant of members that do not have the time or inclination to be 'hardcore dedicated,' and tolerant of real life events like phone calls, pizza deliveries, family arguments, house fires, tsunamis, etc. If someone hasn't been on in a while, or logs out in the middle of a conversation, just take it in stride.
- No racist or homophobic comments out-of-character. None at all, zip, nadda. This is a kick-first-ask-questions-later rule. Don't press it. (This does not pertain to in-character xenophobia, that is part of the lore and unrelated.) Also, just please watch your mouth. We have young ones in the guild, keep your language appropriate to the best of your ability.
- Don't mention him. Really. I mean, you can if you want. In fact, I dare you. Go ahead.
Finally, these are my suggestions for guild conduct. These can be changed at any time by the council, though I feel that they will be popular.
- /s, /y, and /g should be in-character (IC) as much as possible, with out-of-character (OOC) chat designated ((thusly, within double parentheses)). To keep our guild chat in-character, we have a separate OOC channel. To use it, simply type /join hornsooc in your chat window. Whispers are whatever. /p is OOC and battle-chat, with IC encouraged. General, Trade, and Defense chat is up to you!
- Try to communicate with proper spelling and grammar and punctuation,. Try and be tolerant of mistakes. If you are intentionally misspelling for role-playing, try to let us know and keep it consistent with your character! No l33t spk plz, roflc0pter.
- Remember, your actions reflect on you, your tribe, and your guild, especially in-character. Keep that in mind.
- Have fun! If you have ideas, say 'em! If you want to step up, say so and do so! This is your guild, too!
Really, after all those rules, let me end it by saying that again:
This is your guild too!
